Some running

Let's see.... some running stuff. On Tuesday I didn't run in the morning, opting to sleep in and run after work. I ran 5.5 on the Charles. It was really windy and cold, especially on the way back on the Esplanade. This morning Hog and I ran 8 mile Brookline loop. I felt pretty good actually.

The plan is to really start tapering down now. I'll do an easy 3 tomorrow. Then on Friday I am going to pace part of the 10k at the Tufts Hillsides meet. I think I can make it about 2-2.5 miles at the pace they want (4:50-4:54). Hopefully it's not too windy and the guys can run a good time. I think this will be a good tuneup for the marathon too... my last little workout beforehand.

I think that's it for now....

Getting closer

Let's see... I ran 9 by myself on Saturday on the Chuck. With 2 days off last wee b/c of sickness, I totalled 45 miles. On Sunday I went to Tufts to run with the team because Bromka and Hog were out of town. Lacey, Kennedy, Kantos and I had a really good run. We did 15 through Boston. We went out toward Jamaica Pond, over Mission Hill to the Reggie Lewis Center, and the Orange Line. From there we ran up the Southwest Corridor, which is a nice bikepath that brings you through South Boston. It's a really nice trail that sort of hidden. From there went went through Copley to Mass Ave, back through Harvard, and finished with 2 laps on the track to give us 15. I felt pretty good the whole way. From now on it's taper time, which is nice. I get to rest my legs so I can feel my best on April 17th.

This morning, Nate, Bromka, AK and I ran our 9 mile Tufts loop. It was a little chilly, but it was also an hour earlier due to daylight savings time.

Also of note, today marks the 8th anniversary of my 3rd favorite live Phish show of all time. 4/3/98 was absolutely ridiculous... amazing Mike's, (not to mention the segueue into Old Home Place) Weekapaug, Roses and Antelope. This was right after Phish's epic Fall 97 funk tour... give it a listen if you get a chance.
