Tired

Yesterday morning I went out by myself to run a short 6 miles. It was really cold out an my legs were very tired from the long run the day before. If this is any indication of what I'll feel like after the marathon, then I am in for a few very painful days of walking around. I imagine this what I'll feel like everyday when I'm 70 years old. I'm glad I'm not old.

This morning Bromka AK and I went out on our Boston Loop. I really like this run, as we go down Mass Ave, by the Christian Science Center, through Copley, around the Common, past the State House, and through Back Bay to BU. My legs were still tired, but I felt way better than I did yesterday. I also got a new pair of sunglasses, which are nice in the morning when the sun can be fairly blinding at times.

After work today I stopped by McDonald's to see if they still were carrying the greatest invention ever conceived by man. I speak of the Shamrock Shake. Offered around St. Patrick's Day, the Shamrock Shake is a green, mint flavored delicacy, enjoyed only by those who are keen to its existence. Last year, Nate, Hennessey and I went to McDonalds and got Shamrock Shakes. This was one of the top 10 culinary experiences I've ever had in my life. Something about the color, texture, and flavor combines to make this utterly delicious. About a month ago, I realized that the Shamrock Shake was coming up, and I vowed not to forget about it. Unfortunately, I did just that. Totally slipped my mind. Blast. Curses. I realized this yesterday (post St. Patrick's Day), but thought that McDonald's might still be carrying them. I was disappointed today after work when I stopped in and was told that they no longer carried them. Alas, the Shamrock Shake will have to wait until next year.
